I can’t say it enough: Fall is my all-time favourite season of the year. I get giddy as the air crisps up and never get tired of seeing all the different pumpkins and gourds in the storefronts. Autumn in Toronto is generally short-lived, so I do my best to enjoy every second of it before it slips away. Apple picking is always on the top of my to-go list. This year, I visited the ever charming Carl Laidlaw Orchard, just outside of Toronto. The apple trees were gorgeous and fruitful (pun intended!) and the vast, quaint property made it easy to forget that the bustling city was only a few kilometers away.

The tip of the day when it comes to apples? Keep them in the fridge! The apples will last longer and stay nice and crisp, ready to be snacked on or turned into something scrumptious.

Jenn what a beautiful post! I was just in Chatham a couple of weekends ago touring some orchards and it made me want to pick all the apples – they are so pretty!
